Calderdale – Guided Riding or Skills Days

You’ve probably seen the photos of Calderdale in Singletrack mountain bike magazine – now come and see it for yourself. We have some of the best mountain biking in the UK. The trails are easily accessed and the rocky quality of the ground makes them rideable all year round. We have lots of top class technical riding as well as more mellow trails and all rides will be tailored to what you want to do, how you like to ride and at your pace. Lots of route guides send you the wrong way round the trails, but with my local knowledge you will get to take the best ways up and you’ll enjoy some unforgettable descents.

I’ll take care of everything for you whether you want a tailor made guided ride or skills session, over a day or weekend. I have the local knowledge to be able to pick the best routes for every time of year. Epic views will surround us wherever we go on rocky descents, moorland singletrack, ancient packhorse tracks and swoopy woodland trails. All four seasons offer different views and different riding options. The landscape is a contrasting blend of moorland, steep sided wooded valleys and the relics of the early industrial revolution.

Riding starts from Hebden Bridge, a thriving small town packed with great little pubs, cafes, shops and places to stay. There’s also lots to do for non-riding partners – walks, shopping and cafe mooching. So why not come away for a day or a weekend and both do what you enjoy.
